What’s with all the negativity?

Isn’t the Internet great? Free speech! Here’s my opinions - if you don’t like them, don’t read it.

Seriously. Republicans, what’s up? Is Grandpa’s Old Party just cranky from taking eight years of abuse for the moronic embarrassment of a President we put up with? Are you really so bent out of shape because the Quitter Queen didn’t make VP? She’s a bigger moron than Bush, which I didn’t think was possible, but she’s making *bank* on you people telling you what you want to hear. It’s like a cocaine feeding frenzy and she’s the dope dealer happy to feed the insanity for a price.

Is it the Hawai’ian birth certificate? You know Bush wasn’t really elected either term, right? There’s no proof that Obama is *not* a citizen, but there are photos of his birth certificate on the web. I think we’re focusing on the wrong crook.

Is it the Democratic majority in both houses of Congress? That didn’t help Obama push the health care bill through - even a few Democrats were against it. I don’t see any reason to get all “hulk smash!” about the double-majority, it always goes back and forth just like the Presidency.

Is it the economy? Clinton made big mistakes, but stock prices were rocketing and the country was booming. I was a Republican back then, I remember the impeachment and the sentiment behind it (embarrassment, hurt pride), but that was over nothing as serious as rigged elections, phony wars & artificially inflated gas prices to benefit the family businesses (CIA and oil), suspending basic constitutional rights like habeous corpus, and ridiculous bailouts at taxpayer expense. ‘Dubya’ was the worst thing to happen to this country since the civil war, in my opinion, yet we didn’t impeach him.

Is it the health care bill? The health care bill is total crap, but so is the patriot act. All this over one bill, but you weren’t upset at gas prices nearing $5/gallon? Crap bills are made all the time. If it’s just the health care bill, why the hate? Why have we put up with all the crap from both parties in the last 30 years but now everyone’s panties are in a bunch?

Is it the “Mosque at Ground Zero”? It’s not a mosque, it’s three blocks from Ground Zero rather that ‘at’ Ground Zero, there’s another Islamic Community Center closer to Ground Zero, and there’s a Christian church right around the corner.  The colonists came here to escape religious persecution, not to practice it. Your religious bigotry has painted a big red A on your shield of patriotism. There are terrorist attacks being committed by US citizens, on American soil, against Muslims. That is so fucked up! Now we’re the terrorists. Thanks a lot. They have more to fear from you that you do from them. Talk about hypocritical. Get over yourself. I don’t give a fuck whether Obama is Muslim, Catholic, or even Scientologist (that was very difficult to type - they’re crazy!) because our country’s values are supposed to include tolerance. The Great Melting Pot - remember?

The whole Tea Party thing is so childish that it’s got silly Democrats in a tizzy and now we have a Coffee Party just to keep a playground stalemate. Stupid. Grow up, people.

I’m beginning to really wonder if it isn’t a race issue, and “no it’s not” isn’t really a good argument to convince me otherwise. By definition, being “conservative” includes not adapting to diversity, and I’m seeing that as a weakness in today’s shrinking world. Good people come in all colors and follow all kinds of religions. So do bad people. How about we start acting like One Nation, Under <insert_center_of_your_faith_here> and restore the faith in the USA that the world once had, OK?

Hate the game, not the player. Our political system, if left to continue its current course, will be our downfall.
